Thanks for the comment Josh. You are very correct, in fact, you met with me on this and helped to talk through the options before I decided my course of action. It’s a tough situation especially for small companies where 5, 10, 20k is a lot of money that we can’t afford to absorb. I’d like to find a way for the legal system to be more friendly to small business so it’s about facts and not just the cost of litigation. I’m workin’ up some ideas…..next blog post! Take care.

Good post with good advice John. I would only add that one should not be so reticent to talk to a lawyer. If you talk the right ones – and yes they do exist – they are more interested in helping to solve your problem than making a quick buck. It’s like any other industry. Build relationships and trust and you will make out OK in the end. #KAPLAWBuilds
