From rewards and incentives to one-on-one discussions and reviews, make sure you address any issues early.

#3 – Assess Your Departments

Many businesses are made up of a number of departments, each with their own responsibilities, yet all working towards the same end goal. Take the time to review each department, looking at employee performance, turnovers, achievements, losses etc. and begin to identify where the department could potentially be improved. Treating each department individually will show due care and attention.

HR departments can sometimes be overlooked but play a key role in employee relations. A happy workforce is a productive workforce, so having resourceful processes in place that your employee’s can turn to should they be unhappy. This way any issues can be quickly addressed and resolved in a mature and professional manner.

#5 – Distractions

Distractions can be a big hindrance on productivity and can take many forms from the internet, to personal habits, to external influences so ensure that these are identified. This will save time and avoid the need for reprimanding staff should their attention stray.
