While this may be a little past due, recognition is still warranted for the completion of the office space conversion project doneinterior by Constructonomics.  The project was started on January 3rd, 2012 and completed prior to the May 3rd scheduled completion date.  The total project costs totaled over $500,000.

The project involved conversion of an existing auto parts store into the main office of the Reading Area Water Authority.  The water authority bought the building on Kutztown Ave. upon the auto parts store going out of business.

The conversion was actually rather simple.  The only major changes involved the addition of several rooftop mechanical units, for which support steel was required.

The rest of the conversion was, as previously mentioned, very easy.  It pretty much involved adding partitions, duct work, flooring, acoustical ceiling tiles, etc.

The project for the most part went very well with minimal hang-ups.  I hope the space proves to be a more productive and comfortable environment for the water authority to conduct business.
